Working closely with the NATPACT team – part of the NHS Modernisation Agency - and other providers Echelon developed an extensive resource of learning materials for trainers to use in facilitated workshops and interactive modules for individual learners to use on their own for the assessment of GP Practices.
Source material was only accessible in mid-June and the material had to be available for the NATPACT project launch on September 1.
Echelon was able to use its learning design and authoring skills to develop new material and adapt content made available from NATPACT, and then use its XML publishing and content management systems to design an XML style sheet to enable material to be published in different formats including on the internet and CD-ROM.
Publishing the material through the content management system meant that material could be updated and republished quickly and easily and, where necessary, redesigned for different formats.
This example illustrates Echelon’s capabilities of reworking and repackaging a client’s content via our content management system so that it can be distributed and accessed electronically 24/7 by a geographically dispersed audience.
